We are very proud of our Shiny Squirrel Art Studio line of kits! They are highly curated to contain supplies and instructions designed to help users obtain great results.
PLEASE NOTE:
1) Our Silk Scarf Painting Kit requires a normal amount of hand strength and stability (for applying the gutta).
2) Steaming is also required to set these dyes, and therefore access to a stovetop, large metal pot with lid, 3 ceramic coffee mugs and aluminum foil is needed.
3) A wood frame is required, which we sell separately. You can also build one if you prefer.
4) These kits include Jacquard Red Label dyes, which are more expensive than other dyes, but they produce wonderfully deep, rich colors. Therefore, these kits are not intended for users looking for a cheap starter/introductory kit, and instead are intended for users wanting to learn how to obtain a more professional-level product.
Each kit contains:
1 ounce each of 3 primary Jacquard Red Label silk dye colors (can be mixed to produce additional colors). These are high-quality dyes that produce deep, rich color. We haven't seen any other kits that provide these dyes.
1/2 ounce permanent gutta w/applicator bottle
1- 8"x54" silk scarf
2-brushes (for large areas and for more detailed areas)
