Project Description:
Provide art instruction and use of all supplies for participants of team building event, where each participant will learn the basics of mandala dotting as well as additional information and practice techniques to help them complete their own 6”x6” painted canvas that, upon the customer’s discretion, may be combined with the other participants’ artwork.
Customer has requested a constellation theme, which this technique is easily adaptable to. Participants will have option of creating their own freestyle design or using stencils provided by Shiny Squirrel Art Studio (2-3 different constellation design stencils).
Customer may request standard acrylic paint colors up to 21 calendar days prior to event, after which time colors will be selected by Shiny Squirrel Art Studio.
Shiny Squirrel Art Studio instructors will need access to the event site at least 30 minutes prior to event start time to set up. Participants’ supplies will be packaged in individual containers to make set up more efficient and will contain:
· pre-painted (black) 6”x6” canvas (customer keeps)
· set of acrylic paints (customer keeps)
· set of 4 various-sized dotting tools (customer must return all dotting tools to Shiny Squirrel Art Studio at the end of the event or see further below for more options.)
· work surface table covering
· practice sheet
Main instruction will be at the beginning of the event and typically takes up to 30 minutes. Participants will then be able to practice and work on their canvas at their own pace during the remaining event time.
Cost:
On-site instruction at the Constellation office in Warrenville and the use of all supplies needed (see detailed list above) for this project is $50/participant, with a minimum of 30 participants ($1,500.00) at time of booking. This price includes all taxes and payment processing fees.
Additional Costs:
Due to the large participant size, a separate deposit amount of $180.00 is required at time of booking, in addition to the event fee, to cover the cost of any un-returned tools to Shiny Squirrel Art Studio (see Dotting Tools section for more details).
Dotting Tools Deposit/Rental:
Due to the large size of the event, a separate deposit amount of $180.00 is required prior to event date. Deposit amount is fully refundable with the return of all dotting tools (4 provided per participant) in acceptable (no paint on either end of tool) condition on or before the return date. An amount of $4.50 will be deducted from the refunded deposit amount for every tool that is not returned by return date in acceptable condition
If participants do not complete their artwork during the event time, Customer has the option of renting additional use time of dotting tools up to 14 calendar days after event date.
ADDITIONAL/REMOTE PARTICIPANTS:
Customer should provide final participant number for event at Warrenville location to Shiny Squirrel Art Studio no later than 14 calendar days prior to event date.
If supply kits are required for participants that will be at remote locations, please denote at time of confirming final participation number.
Shiny Squirrel Art Studio may be able to provide a “train the trainer” demo prior to actual event date to allow a Constellation employee to assist any remote participants.
If any supply kits are purchased for remote participants, Shiny Squirrel Art Studio would be able to provide a brief “train the trainer” demo at time of remote participant supply kits drop-off time at Warrenville location, which can be scheduled to occur up to 2 weeks prior to actual event date. Event payment is due in full prior to any kit drop-off and prior to any “train the trainer” demonstration. Event payment is not refundable once any instruction has been provided.
If remote supply kits are not required, then a brief “train the trainer” demo can be provided via Microsoft Teams or other similar arrangement, up to 1 hour prior to actual event start time, with Shiny Squirrel Art Studio providing the demo from the Warrenville location.
Payment:
Deposit Amount: Payment of at least $750.00 (deposit) is due no later than 30 days prior to event.
Full Payment: Payment is due in full no later than 14 calendar days prior to event date. This includes full event payment for all participants, including any remote participant supply kits as well as dotting tool deposit amount based on final number of dotting tools required.
Refund/Cancellation Policy:
Deposit amount is fully refundable up to 30 days prior to event date IF written cancellation notice is provided to Shiny Squirrel Art Studio no later than 30 days prior to event.
No refunds will be provided once any instruction has been provided (including “train the trainer” demo).
If full payment was made between 30 days and 14 calendar days prior to event date and Customer and provides written cancellation notice within 30 days and 14 calendar days prior to event date, the dotting tool deposit amount only that was paid by the Customer will be refunded, if no instruction or supply kits have been provided.
If full payment was made between 30 days and 14 calendar days prior to event date and Customer and provides written RESCHEDULE notice within 30 days and 14 calendar days prior to event date, a new event date can be arranged, with at least 2 weeks’ notice to Shiny Squirrel Art Studio and new date is dependent on Shiny Squirrel Art Studio and Customer’s availability.
Payment made by Customer via payment link provided by Shiny Squirrel Art Studio denotes acceptance of the above terms by the Customer.
